"Fair prices, ideal location, fast friendly service, very good food."
"We ordered a salad with chicken, Zuppa di fagioli, water and iced tea."
"The vibe downstairs is cosy but upstairs is kitsch and a bit tacky."
5 So we ate here twice today. We went for a quick coffee and croissant this morning. The staff was great and the food and coffee was as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't wait long for our food and didn't feel pressured to hurry through our meals. We wanted wanted something close to the hotel for dinner, took a look at the menu and decided to go back for dinner. We were not disappointed! We started with the calamari which was fantastic. My husband had the fried cod which was crispy and oh so good. I had the pork ribs and the meat fell off the bone and was outstanding. We had the house red which was my second favorite red here in Venice so far. We finished with a cappuccino, which I always love, this was also really good. My husband is not a coffee drinker and said it was his favorite so far. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for a breakfast or dinner place, I'm sure lunch is good as well. They had indoor and outdoor seating and the little square they are in is a great place for people and dog watching. We spent about $65 euros on dinner, which includes the tip.
5 Highly recommend this restaurant, we ate here two times. The Spaghetti Alle Vongole is the best we’ve ever had (and we’ve tried quite a few). Amazing customer service provided by the waiters Ifty and Jayde.
5 Best meal we had in Italy! I know, I know, but trust me, it’s true. We had the Greek Salad (Insert Italian finger/hand chefs kiss emoji), the Pork Chop/Rib (it’s really an amazingly giant rib…again with the chefs kiss emoji), the parpadelle with bolognese (yet another chefs kiss emoji), and the pizza with mushrooms, sausage, and egg (and yes, another chefs kiss), and to wash it all down, a bottle of Amarone Classico (this is getting silly, but ANOTHER chefs kiss). Best of all, every dish came recommended by Sean (a local Venetian who grew up just around the corner). We’ve had a lot of great meals, and great wines, and meals with great wines, but no meal compared to this one. If you’re looking for a great meal in Venice, go talk to Sean…He’ll definitely take care of you! I’m jealous of your meal already.
5 For sure, the best pizza of my trip and the best calamari of my life! We went early in the evening to it wasn't crowded, it was quite comfortable. Quick service too. The pizza was really good, with a thin crispy base and a very savoury sauce. But the calamari were the star. Super fresh, crispy and surprisingly tender, it came with a tomato sauce that tasted like pizza and was really good! I regret not going here again for more!
5 It can be a challenge to find a genuinely good, non-touristy spot to eat in the busier parts of Venice, and we were so happy we found this place. Pizzeria Conca D'Oro is a real gem. The pizza was excellent – great crust and quality toppings – and the service was very friendly. A full day of walking in Venice can be a lot, and this was the perfect spot to sit down and properly recharge. I've been using the Mindful Coffee app to remind myself to take real breaks and manage my energy during hectic travel days, and this was the ideal place for it. Taking the time to enjoy a proper cappuccino here felt like a necessary reset. Highly recommend if you're looking for high-quality food and a moment of calm away from the crowds. A great find.
5 We had the “pork chops” and the pistachio cream pasta. Both were excellent. The pork chop was actually a half slab of slow cooked baby back ribs. I’ve had a lot of ribs and pork dishes in Asia, USA and Europe. This was near the top of the best. The pasta was very good as well (top 1 or 2 ) of the several pastas I had during my 2 week trip in Italy. The restaurant was quite full when we arrived at 7:30pm and therefore we had to sit inside. This was of course, a good sign. It definitely did not feel touristy despite having some menus with an English version and despite being close to St Marks square. Price was also very reasonable for Venice. 20e for each of the dishes. Total came out to 51e including a bottle of small still water and cover charge. I’m actually considering going back again tonight (on consecutive nights)! Addendum: So as I had temptingly contemplated, we returned the following night and ordered the same 2 dishes. They were consistently excellent. BTW, can’t say enough good things about the staff, especially Sean the host. Such a pleasant and friendly guy. He made our last meal in Venice that much more memorable.
5 We had such a wonderful experience at Conca D’Oro! The food was absolutely delicious — the cacio e pepe was creamy and perfectly seasoned, the spaghetti bolognese was rich and comforting, and the tiramisu was the perfect finish to the meal. Our server Anna was excellent — attentive, kind, and made us feel right at home. The host Sean greeted us with great energy and a sharp sense of humor, and he might just be one of the best salespeople in the business! Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves authentic Italian food and genuine hospitality.
4 The food was good but not our favorite. We didn’t even realize it’s the first pizzeria in Venice so that’s probably what we should have ordered. The people were very nice. We liked the atmosphere.
